Bank of England rase interest rates!

#1
I've always followed this stuff, but this interest rise was different. Everybody was talking about it, there were 10 year old kids on the bus to work talking about it today. i was surprised, but it affects us all majorly. :fury:

Basically my economics aint good but what I saw them do is set the ball rolling for a significant minorities lives to be made somewhat miserable. in order to benefit the whole of the country generally. (some politician said a few years ago "A few lost jobs in the North east is a price worth paying in order to re-energise the economy)

Hard times ahead for a lot of poor sods

Wait until Mr Bush has to repay his war debt.

But I'd like interest rates to go up. I wanna buy another place and I don't wanna pay $400,000 for a small flat.

^^I dunno.Everything here in Ireland is expensive. The mentality is to see how much you can rip people off.People from eastern Europe who come here to work find it very hard to afford things even though any money they earn here is worth alot back home.I cant complain though i m not poor or anything, although any money i have,i earned it myself.People have it worse.

Yeah our interest rates went up earlier in the week.
3rd interest rate hike this year.

And it'll go up again early next year.
It'll be a bad few years before it goes down again

10.00 NOK Norway Kroner = 0.820964 GBP United Kingdom Pounds.

Thats not even £1, we pay about £4.50 for a 20 pack of cigs

4.50 GBP United Kingdom Pounds = 54.8136 NOK Norway Kroner

The rest of the world seems to forget that the £GBP is probly the most expensive currency in the world.
