Ive always wanted to go backpacking but in the end i just end up booking a typical club style holiday (Ibiza this year).

Anyway i've spoken to someone who has done a lot of travelling and he found the best way to do it (in mainland Europe) was by nighttime sleeper train.

P.S i'd recomend you visit Bratislava :D
No thanks. All I know about it is what i've seen on TV but since it scared me.. good job propaganda :thumb:

OK well can you tell me exactly what your route is and how long you're total trip is gonna be, and then I might be able to offer some advice!
I'm still trying to figure in the costs and see what's the cheapest way would be, the countries I want to hit are Ireland, UK, Netherlands, Germany, Austria and/or Switzerland, then Italy.

What specific areas, or in what order I don't know and i'm pretty open honestly..

Don't plan too much. Spontaneity is key, I say.
I totally agree but at the same time in a foreign country so far from home I have to plan as much as possible.

Was this some kind of secret invite because i'd totally be down :thumb:
I'm telling you, I'll be there. Most likely asleep. Just give me a phone call when you get there to wake me up, I pick you up at the ferry and we get drunk. :D

Then when you pass out, I sell you to the Ukranians. :)

Have you seen Hostel 1 & 2? :(
I saw one but not two... luckily for me no one seemed to want to buy any Caribbeaners so I should be all set. Was two any good? I want to see that as well

Luckily for me I don't drink

Hotels are 24 hours.... Europe and the UK are extremely different... Even though the UK is in Europe it is more alike with the US and OZ... For obvious reasons.

Croatia is nice.... My parents have been a few times... Very cheap too... But not as cheap as it used to be in the tourist areas... and yes.... Norway has higher prices than London.

^^^Croatia is not cheap in Dubrovnik, the rest is cheap.

But if you can afford to go to London, I mean, no way in hell you won't be able to afford the most expensive dinner in Croatia.

This excludes Dubrovnik...

Last year when I went to Dubrovnik I saw George Clooney and Brad Pitt there. They were buying the most expensive stuff and they laughed about it. Fuckers.
