I was just wondering if anybody on here found it hard to get around outside and so the internet was their main root to the real world. Maybe they are in a wheelchair, or have a disability or maybe have a chronic illness like MS or IBD?

It's not a big deal just something I was wondering and thought I'd ask. It's just a poll, yes for yes, and no for no. You don't have to disclose what it is and you don't even have to participate if you don't feel comfortable.

Note - Poll is private.

Anyways... Go.

thats kind of a fucked up thing to have a poll about. Nobody is going to admit it for fear of being made fun of.
Actually if I had a chronic illness I'd admit it, nothing wrong with pity. :horny:

No-one can see the poll. Why be ashamed of it?

It depends on the illness, and some things you don't wanna disclose because people can use it as ammo. We'll see how people feel. Maybe I thought people on here would be mature enough to handle it, maybe I was wrong.

I didnt mean to sound like I thought you were trying to make fun of people, I know thats not what you were trying to do. I just know how people on here are and I don't want to see them making fun of sick people. I guess it's just a personal think. I worked at a camp for kids who had chronic or terminal illness and I saw how hard life for these kids were and I became rather attached to these kids. I wouldnt want to see someone trivilize that, not that I think you are trying to do that.

Nah, I saw what you meant. And I'm trying to give the people on here some credit and the chance to act mature. However I'm sure someone will come in and say humour is good, and we need humour and use it to take the piss out of this thread.

I saw your pics from the camp, very good job. You should be very proud.

Anyways it was just from a personal view, if this thread doesn't work, it doesn't. And I can close it, or if I'm not here another mod can.

does insomnia count. I do have the sleeping disorder not because of stress or because i deprive myself of sleep but because my brain has trouble falling into certain brain patterns. Long story short, my cycles of sleep become quicker, but i have trouble sleeping. if it counts, i'll vote yes

I wonder where you came up with the idea for this thread :)

And no, i suffer from nothing like the sort you mentioned. My only "chronic" illness might be that i smoke too much weed, but i dont think that counts

well if insomnia counts than i'm a yes
and apparently i show the basic signs of having ADD. But i never did anything about it. A few psychologists and doctors have told me by different analysis but it hasn't really stopped me from doing anything.
But on technicalities, i won't vote

Yeah.

I think I have a very mild form of this. I've been trying to figure out what the hell that feeling in my leg was when trying to sleep and it sounds like it could be that.

a chronic illness usually refers to anything that has been persistent for a period of a few months (as opposed to acute).

i have chronic allergies, which started when i moved into an apartment where a previous tenant had a huge ass dog. i have to pay about $1.50 per pill, which i take per day, and that's with insurance. bum deal.

i got acid reflux which kinda sucks, and i have asthma, but it is not bad unless it is a hot summer day...but i do not think either is chronic
