About to read Roots

real good book....but i liked the movie better...cause it shows a visual of what went on back then.....but the book was still a good read though

^ u never knew there was a movie. . wow .. that movie is like a legend .. i've had to watch it twice so far in school .. hell yea 2 weeks of school spent each time..

^^basically about a slave named Toby who lives somewhere in Africa he gets captured and sent to the US. since he knows no english he cant communicate with the other slaves and salve owners. He gets sold to another slave owner coz he tried to run away. He then meets a guy called the Fiddler who helps out Toby, then he meets a girl named Belle and gets married to her. They have a daughter and thats all i kno.

I've seen half of the movie but Im not done reading it tho i left off where he has a daughter.
