here is your answer...

hitler is not a first name - it is a family name. so yes, there are many hitlers around the world - some have changed their names, some have not. www.switchboard.com turned up a few in my brief search.

Yeh around the world. But I specifically stated in Germany. Anyway, how about adolf, do germans name adolf.

I know some arabs still name osama. some after Osama Bin laden, and others just cuz they like the name which refers to a Lions son.

The reason for my question was for knowledge purposes.

Adolf USED to be a common name... 60-150 years ago, you know, we developed too. I think that should answer your question.

To that Osama thing: If the next top-terrorist-ultra-dictator was named BOB, or Bill or George(no, pls dont bring up references to the president), what would you do?

ps: Yesterday I realised that blonde from Law&Order (a native German) has the same family name as a SA boss.
