Who was Kato?? <- Info please!

once again I recognized something about Pac that I don't understand.
He is always talking about Kato in several songs etc.
Can anybody give me some info on that guy?

I believe it was a friend of Pac who got killed back in the days, right?

But who exactly was he?
Where did he live? (Oakland, Marin City?? New York?)
Was he black?
What got him killed?

kato was part of syke's group (evil mind gangstas). he was killed right before pac started fucking with them on a music level, and that's why he remains relatively unknown except for pac's shouts. if memory serves, it's kato who is sampled in only fear of death (only fear of death is coming back reincarnated). pac used kato to represent the problem of the game in that he left behind a wife and son after being murdered right before he'd have been a success.

it does exist - was a local trunk release. i contacted syke, and i think josh did too, and he doesn't have anything left - not even a dub. i'm sure it's a next to impossible release to find.
