how it come that in jamaican "the" is pronounced "di"?
some tosters say "di" and some say "de"?
look at kartel he always says "di".
and what about writing?some songs are with "di" some with "de".
i noticed that roots and dub artists/songs always write/spell "de" and dancehall "di"?
so whats the deal?does it depend on the word that stand beofre or after article?is "de" and "di" the same thing as "me" and "mi"?
written "mE" but pronounced "mEE" so they write "Mi"?
so wha bout when ppl use both forms in same sentence?

Jamaican isn't a language... the majority of Jamaicans speak English, the dialect is just different. it's a blend of a lot of different languages based upon all the different cultures that have settled there throughout their history. I don't know the Jamaican history unfortunately, so I don't know how specifically it got like that. Most people in the islands have a similar form of speech when it comes to the pronunciation and whatnot.

I honestly don't really understand your post though.... :(

the question why some write "de" and some "di".
i noticed that dancehall artists say "di".but some also use "de".
whats the difference?why some say "di" and "de"?does it depend on word before or after the article?or is it like "mi"?written "me" pronounced "mi" (like they speak).
