It definitely looks better than the previous generation. Rims are terrible, though, and the bonnet has too many holes in it. But it does look to have "evolved" on a technical level. A bit, anyway. I dunno, though. In the end it's still a car from the early nineties, technically and styling wise. Looks to me like the Viper is kind of behind on the facts. When we compare it to it's obvious competitor, the new Vette, and most notably the Z06, it's looks like it's losing out. More so because it will likely be moderately expensive as well. Vipers never been cheap.
