you know how when you think the name "dorothy" you have a character in mind, right? and when someone say "john goodman" you imagine this person, right? for me, dorothy puts an image of a farmers wife in my head. specifically a farmer from the carolina-area. john goodman sounds like a vice president or staff chief. think about it though, tina.. what do you think a tina would look like? i'm imagining this blonde teenager.

the point is that whenever someone say a name you have an image of what you would expect someone with that name to look like, right? well i have stumbled across a marvelous discovery. i have found a name for which i can not imagine a namebearer. no matter how hard i try, i have no clue what a bob looks like. i wish my name was bob. do you have an idea what a bob looks like?

when i think of john goodman i think of this man

from the show, roseane, the flinstones movie, and he played the speaker of the house & president of the united states on the west wing.

when i think tina, i think tina turner.
when i think bob, i think about a guy i knew in high school, when i was a freshmen, this guy bob was a senior, for some reason this guy thought i was cool, it was like dazed and confused where that floyd became friends with mitch kramer.

but when i think about the name frank, nothing comes to mind...

but thats the thing though.. through all the movies you have seen, books you have read, and so on.. have the name bob ever been used for a farmer? i only remember one movie where bob is being used, and thats the last samurai. obviously i dont imagine a japaneese samurai that looks like a monkey when i think of the name bob. i agree with frank as well, it's one of those names whose namebearer you can't imagine.

i think this dates back to around 96 when i used to have this hillbilly computer game, and you're suppose to kill all the hicks that you see. and theres a "boss" named bob, he just pops out and says "your cousins over here".

i never had a friend named bob, so when someone says bob that pops into my head.
