sorry to hear that dev. it will heal with time and only time.

a guy at my work lose his dad from a generalized cancer a couple of weeks ago, he was still pretty depressed but what helped him is that he had something to look forward too, he had a trip to Ireland to work and live there for a while so it is helping him in the process of moving on with his life. it's true that compared to you he got the time ot say goodbye and make peace with it. but still. i think time and having something to look forward too is gonna help you.

Sorry to hear bout this devious, I know what you mean about long term illnesses compared to the suddeness. I lost both my grandparents to cancer and they were like 2nd parents to me. But even after the months of treatment (my pop died quicker) its still such a shock when they are gone. In the back of your head your always thinking, not them. I found after loosing them that whatever I did it wasnt thought out or rational. Your probably going to just do what your heart tells you and thats the best way to cope. Each person deals with this differently so just continue your own way. All the best to you and your family.

i just want to say thanks to everyone who replied with nice comments in this thread. it's always good to know that there are people there for me, even though there's really not much anyone can do for me or my family. i'm pulling through tho and it gets a little easier as the days go by. thanks, you guys really did make me feel a little bit better :)

My condolences bro. Nothing you can do to make yourself feel better other than just keep on living. Time heals all wounds.

sorry to hear that brother
I lost my father when i was 15 years old, thats 5 years ago, he was 53 years old , he died because of cancer, we all cried and we were so depressed, but life goes on and we get used to living without him, not that we forgot him, but nobody live forever

Sorry to hear about your mom, not much anyone can say to make you fell better. What might help is talking to a grief counselor, when I was about 10 my brother died of cancer and it helped. Time wont heal it but it makes it easier to deal with, you have to be strong.

My dad died a few months back and its yet to have an effect on me, he was a alcoholic and violent towards my mom and my siblings for 20 odd years I hadn't seen him since I was a kid prior to the funeral. The man robbed me of a childhood and a decent life, me and my mom were homeless and had to move to a different country to get away from him. But I had to let that go because like grief being bitter will eat you from the inside out if you let it.

Sorry to hear this. Be strong but don't forget that you have feelings also. Don't push your feelings aside too far or too long for someone else's benefit. We disagree a bit but we're still cool, you have my information if you need to chat. If not, I can give it back to you. Let me know if there's anything I can do.

Thanks for asking. She is. She was worst for a bit, chemo wasn't working and she had to do radiation. The radiation treatments just ended for the first session (has to be broken into sessions) and the cancer is finally shrinking! It's been long and hard but we've all been next to her helping her to cope. Some days and better than others, but that's how it goes. Again, thanks alot for asking it means more to me than you could imagine. Again, if you need anything let me know and i'l try my best to accommodate you.
