So its summer, I have a 4 month break before college starts again and I applied at wal-mart to make some moneys. I got a interview a few days ago and they said they will call back soon. A few hours later they call and ask me to come back for a second interview.

So I ask you this my fellow Streethoppers who work at Wal-mart...what do they ask/do in this second interview?

I've handed in resumes to atleast 40 places (including television stations, the field i'm going into). In a month the only place that has called back is Walmart. I just want to know what to expect so I don't go in all nervous and shit

You can expect Wal Mart to treat you like shit! Horrible place to work honestly. Kiss the customers ass an suck up to any assistant manager you'll go far! I worked there for 3 weeks till they tried to tell me Wal Mart was more important then my kids. Anyway good luck

I don't really care about moving up in the Wal-Mart ladder, I only want to work there for a 2-3 months spending money before the college year starts up again. I've read about how badly they treat workers, but I don't really care. If they're the only place that want to hire me I'd rather be working there and making money than doing nothing all day.

I had a buddy who worked there...she got charged for theft over $5000 for stealing a whole bunch of digital cameras. Stupidness. Anyways, I've never worked at Wal-Mart or anything, but usually when your asked to come back for a second interview, you usually got the job. Do whatever you did in your first interview:thumb:

I'm 21, its hard to do better when no one is hiring. In the field I'm going into, the places that are closest to me (CTV, CBC, and CH Television) either aren't hiring for summer relief because its not worth their time to train for 2 months then have to leave because of school or they don't need anymore people, and CBC is fucking hard to get a job there even with connections.

Look guys, I'm not making Wal-Mart my career, I just want a few paychecks and quit.

do telemarketing, easy job (if you got the balls to handle it), better pay than wal-mart, and they're extremely flexible.. i did that shit for a year and a half..

Fuck Walmart man, unless you live in Chicago where they agreed to pay walmart employees 10.50 by some point..

i worked at wal-mart back in 96, and if shit is still the same i'd say you got the job. when they called me back for the second interview it was just to get personal information for their records and to offer me the job. so it sounds like you got the job, even though it is a shitty job lol
