Soccer in America wont be popular in America. Even if there was 11 David Beckhams in the team.

I don't know much about the football world, but if Beckham is respected by his colleagues, I could see more players venturing to the US in a similar fashion in the future. That's if everything goes well and I don't see why not. The question isn't if soccer will become the most popular because it's not going to happen. However, its popularity will definitely increase. I don't know why you're so negative about America. America likes to play soccer, it's a fact if you go to any high school or university. The thing is that it doesn't have Michael Jordans and Jerry Rices of soccer to make it appealing. You could make a case that Donovan and others are good players but they're not doing the job. Popularity is relative anyway, so unless there's a certain magnitude of popularity you're talking about, your statement holds no value. :)

Weren't her and David Kaballists for a bit? She seems the kind to hop on whatever religion is in the papers. Scientology's getting a bit of a bad rap at the minute, so she might wait until Bahá'í or Zoroastranism get popular.
Yeah i think they were - i think i remember seeing them wearing the red band on their wrists.

I'm not 'negative' about America lol wtf? anyway if Pele, George Best and having the World Cup in America in 94 doesn't help as much then will David Beckham? It may become popular for awhile and then die down like in the 3 cases beforehand.

And for footballers going to America it will be mainly at the end of their career (I.e Edgar Davids) This isn't a stab at America because players at the end of their career go over to Saudi Arabia and other Asian countries.
